TV Ceará aired a special story about Pracaju, an initiative supported by Companhia Siderúrgica do Pecém (CSP), our Idea Program. The story highlights the story of women farmers who, through cooperatives, found ways to help their community develop. It was the third story of a series called “The strength of cooperation.”
The Pracaju Project, developed by the Baixa das Carnaúbas (Caucaia) Community Development Association, was created in 2013 to offer jobs and revenue for socially vulnerable women through the processing of local fruit products.
The members of the Project manufacture 20 products made of regional fruits, such as pulps, pastel cashew, cakes, coconut candy, rapadura, candies, honey, syrup and cashew sweet.
